Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive Backing Makes ShurStik Easy to Apply

Merit's ShurStik is aptly named. Whether you’re talking about our Alo Resin Bond, Silicon Carbide or Zirconia Plus Discs for high-speed grinding and polishing applications or ShurStik Safety Tred for preventing slippery surfaces — the pressure-sensitive adhesive backing is easy to apply and adheres simply and quickly to a disc holder.

When applied to disc holders, the protective liner boosts the speed of disc changing and protects the adhesive from work dust. ShurStik’s adhesive coating also has excellent heat resistance for high-speed grinding and polishing applications and can handle a variety of heavy-duty grinding operations.

ShurStik Safety Tred is made of wear-resistant, waterproof material backing coated with a hard and durable synthetic mineral impervious to grease, oil, water and most other contaminants. Application is easy when Safety Tred is applied to clean surfaces. Simply remove the protective paper liner and press onto any surface reducing hazards quickly and economically wherever slipping is possible. ShurStik’s Safety Tred can  be used on a wide variety of surfaces including:
